I've made about 3 attempts to write some sort of joined-up, coherent comment to this post and I've failed every time so I'm just going to list what I'm trying to say. Much easier. Hope that's OK....

1) Oh, yes, true (perfect) equilibrium!
2) Love the contrast of Bodie in shadow, keeping guard over a sleeping Doyle whose face is (very nicely) to the forefront of the picture.
3) I like the way my attention is repeatedly drawn to the expression and texture of Doyle's face in repose to the extent that at times it seems to dominate the entire picture, until I remember to look back at Bodie-in-shadow and then he seems to take precedence.
4) I really like the soft, velvety kind of feel to the whole image (and the colouring) and specifically the effect it has on Doyle's skin making it look almost marble-like or sculpted in appearance.
5) I like art which makes me think and this certainly has.
6) Another very good interpretation of the challenge, thank you!

Apparently I've chosen the right picture. Thank you for your elaborate review, especially point 3. I didn't think to look at it this way, but now I do. Thank you! :-)

This is nice. I like the texture, sort of soft looking, and Bodie's stern face as Doyle sleeps. He's standing guard here. Thank you!

He's standing guard here. He certainly is. So nice to know you like it. :-)

I like the way Doyle (who looks so beautiful and sculpted!) is almost falling out of the shot. It's a great interpretation of the prompt, but you know I could also see this in an opposite sense... that they're as separated (by sleep, by thought, by who knows what) as they are together. And I so agree with shooting2kill that your artwork engages the brain as well as the senses. Lovely!

that they're as separated (by sleep, by thought, by who knows what) as they are together. I never thought of that. But this is the reason why I like choosing these random screencaps for my wallpapers: to get to know what others think about and see in them. :-)

One is sleeping and one is alert and driving - if that isn't an equilibrium I don't know what is. Well done!

Thank you so much! :-D
