On Such a Night

Hurt/comfort, short and intense.

On Such a Night by Slantedlight

The black, he realizes, is the night sky and it's brilliant with stars.

Another great choice if I may say so! I love this piece of writing, it's thick with, with, with.. (can't think of a better word or what it's thick with....) Thick with emotion, yes that's the word, the 'emotion' they have for each other, expressed in just a caress or in being there for each other, and because it's night-time all the senses seem heightened - the smell of the grass, the sirens, the stars in the black sky....It's just a gorgeous piece of writing.

Thank you!

But your 'short and intense' isn't bad either! ;-)

I didn't knew this one, thank you!

I love this story so much. The hurt, befuddled Bodie, the laughing stars and Doyle's warm presence. It's just wonderful. Thanks for the rec :D

Really wonderful little story. I'm always amazed at writers who manage to express so much with so little words, and make the whole thing turn out so poetic as well.

The juxtaposition of the adrenaline-filled chase/firefight, Bodie's elation about it and the calm and still and peacefulness of the star-bright night works so well. A different kind of elation, that, about being alive, and together. Thanks for the rec Cloud!

Thank you for reading it, and for your mini review, as spot-on as always. ;-)
