The telepathy going on here between you and me and yesterday firle, is getting stronger and stronger! I've recently been working on this very same image accompanied by this quote:

They could spend days, weeks or even months waiting – tensed like a coiled spring, biding their time, ready to go at any moment. And the waiting would always feel like an age, a slow torture that would suddenly end in a rush of adrenaline. Sometimes the excitement would be over in seconds; sometimes it would take hours. But whenever it happened, it burned through their bodies, energising tired muscles and sharpening reactions......

I love your images and I love the title you've given them. I hadn't decided for sure but I was thinking of putting it under 'S' for stakeout or 'O' for obbo (I had a few 'S's already...)

I love what you've done here with this particular scene. The idea is clever, original, really crisp and very attractive. Thanks for sharing your work.

That's nearly frightening! Sooner or later we are all sisters in mind... :-)

But that quote fit's indeed perfectly!

That's nearly frightening! Sooner or later we are all sisters in mind.

Sisters! That used to be a famous song:

Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters,
we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
Two different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one
Those who've seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us
Many men have tried to split us up, but no one can
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man

Sorry about that, I got carried away......

And thanks for liking the quote!

That's really a coincidence ... again! As soon as I made this screencap I decided I would have to do something with their silhouettes. And I was so happy as they came out nice and clear.

I just read the link you took the quote from. It's a terrific piece of writing, immaculate IMO, and you chose the perfect quote for this picture.
I will have to read more of this author.

Oh, I'm glad you liked the story, thanks!

Is it very cheeky of me to ask your permission to make an icon out of one of them? Of course I would credit you. I won't be offended if you rather I didn't. Cheers.

Not at all! They are free to use, for icons too! :-)

I just wanted to edit my reply as you replied to it:
I love the title you've given them.
It came to my mind quite easily. And it leaves so much open: getting ready for a fight, getting ready for bed ..... could be either. ;-)

Thank you very much!

....getting ready for a fight, getting ready for bed ....

Oh, yes, I hadn't thought of that....! Getting ready for wild, first-time sex....(not me, them)

Such a wonderful idea! I couldn´t decide, so I downloaded them all and put them in my wallpaper circle and they look just gorgeous. Ganz großes Kino!

Then I've chosen the right colours, I think! So glad you like them. :-)

This is fantastic!
Who could resist those silhouettes?
And I really can't decide! Each colour adds a new quality to the situation.

(miracle - miracle... everything is the same, but the hair on both sides of Doyle's lower face is always different... I noticed it when I was trying to decide and was switching very quickly between the pics... :-))

Blue! I think it's blue at the moment!

Thank you!

Edit: Or white...?

I'm so pleased you like them. Blue was my first choice. Then I thought of you and made a grey one too. You quite disappoint me now. ;-)

You are so observant! I edited the shilouettes a little bit and had to do it in the final pictures. Therefore each one is a bit different.

Thanks! I'm quite pleased it came out the way I planned it. You never know for sure with these silhouettes. :-)

oh, more enigmatic and elegant pics from cloudless! ;)

They are very effective. Their sihouettes are so distinctive, and here their particular 'qualities' (like Bodie's broad shoulders) are very clear.

I like the blue a lot, and I'm snagging olive because it is my favourite background colour.

Thanks. They look gorgeous, don't they? You can even see the ripples of Bodie's polo-neck and Doyle's watch. I'm glad I managed your favourite colour, too. :-)

Fantastic!! I really love the work you do, so cleancut and very effective. They really stand out on the red background, but my favourite would be the blue.

Thank you.

oh my, these are so good! Isn't it strange how much character can be portrayed in a sillhouette? Just the angle of the shoulders, the tilt of the heads, even that little shape bit that the crooked arms make. Really nice, in all colours, although the blue is particularly striking. Thank you!
